International Confucian Ecological Alliance (ICEA) is a global cultural environment protection organization, proposed by Prince Philip of Britain, and initiated by Professor Tu Weiming and Mr. Li Zhi in the early spring of 2003. On September 9, 2013, ICEA was founded in Dengfeng"The centre of Heaven and Earth" (Songyang Academy of Classical Learning),Henan Songshan,under the witness of the thousand-year-old cypress tree.

International Confucian Ecological Alliance (ICEA) is a non-profit international society established by well-known experts and scholars, entrepreneurs, and relevant Confucian institutions.
Based on Society Ordinance of Hong Kong, China,, International Confucian Ecological Alliance (ICEA) is registered in Hong Kong Police Force(Societies-Office).ICEA sets up independent councils in Houston and London, which prepare and operate relately local projects.
International Confucian Ecological Alliance (ICEA) has established functional organizations in Beijing, including Advisory Committee, Academic Committee, Found Committee and Secretariat. All of those functional organizations are responsible for overall supervision and strategic coordination, which is effectively improving ICEA’s credibility, influence and communication capacity in a long term.
ICEA’s Mission:
Facing the challenge of increasingly severe ecological crisis and the depletion of natural resources, the primary thing is to deal with our relationship with nature, with a heart of a benevolent, world view of harmonious and commonwealth.
Through Confucian ecological wisdom which is influencing a quarter of world’s population, we wish to raise public’s moral consciousness, nurture people’s awareness of environmental protection, improve people’s daily behavior and enterprises’ act of production, thus to contribute to the harmonious development of human and nature.
ICEA’s Purpose:
Under the guidance of Confucianism, as well as ecological and environmental sciences, we conduct intensive research on the theoretical and practical support of Confucianism towards ecological and environmental protection. Combining newest development and future trend at home and abroad, cooperating widely with Confucianism and non-Confucianism organizations, as well as international institutions and governments’ environmental departments of all levels, we make proper communication strategies, advance the establishment of environmental protection behaviors and ideas, and regard the young generation of China as the enduring source and target of Confucianism ecological education.
